Additional/Temporary Openings

The daycare cannot exceed license capacity to provide these care options. Provider(s) must abide by the rules listed below. If we are able to remain compliant with all K.A.R.’s we would be happy to provide drop in or after school care options in addition to those receiving full-time care in our facility. 

K.A.R. 28-4-114

(j) Additional children permitted on the premises.

(j)(1) Not more than 2 additional children 2 ½ years or older attending part-day preschool or kindergarten between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on school days.

(j)(2) Not more than 2 additional children at least 5 years but under 11 years present between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

(j)(2)(A) Not more than 2 additional children at least 5 years but under 11 years present between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the school years before and after school, in-service, holidays, closures, and breaks not to exceed 2 consecutive weeks.

(j)(2)(B) Not more than 2 additional children at least 5 years but under 11 years present between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. for no more than 2 consecutive weeks before (Aug/Sept.) or after the school year (May/June).
